I am Tim McDonald with McDonald Building LLC, we are a custom home builder in Chelan & Douglas Counties. We have worked on many projects Designed by Complete Design over the years past. We have found their drawings and design team to be very innovative and easy to work with and improving each time we deal with them. It’s great to have a plan with all the permitting problems solved and details clearly illustrated. Their response to questions during construction has been quick and effective. The homes are great looking and the customers have been very satisfied. The addition of in-house engineering is a great benefit Complete Design now brings to the table and it will surely make the process even more efficient. We have found that many of our customers that are shopping for an architect in the area don’t get much farther than one meeting with Ryan and his team and they are hooked on the Complete Design team’s professional presentation and resources. Complete Design's pricing is very reasonable and fixed (based on square footage for residential designs). Design can be as much as 10% of building cost, whereas Complete Design comes to less than 5%. You work with a very knowledgeable team, not just one person. That has been part of the positive experience.

The Art of Listening
I am delighted to share my experience with Ryan Kelso and the amazing team at Complete Design.
In May 2017 we had our first meeting with Ryan Kelso. We were excited, nervous and had many ideas and questions. We sat down with our first question. “How does this work”?
Ryan’s response was “You talk and I listen”. “the art of listening.
So we talked and talked and talked….true to his word he listened... took notes and asked a few clarifying questions.
Based on that meeting we hired Complete Design. Our next meeting took place at our building site. Ryan took pictures, measurements and then presented us with a detailed questionnaire; again listening carefully to our answer; “the art of listening”!
Soon he had a design to show us. Wow! We were blown away by what he presented. He “heard” us! We had a few additions and minor changes…he listened to us and made the revisions.
When I asked Ryan “How many times can I ask for additions or changes at this stage”? His response “Until I get it right!”
In addition, we opted to have interior design help. Wendy has truly been a wonder; she really understood what we wanted to create. She offered assistance, guidance, and was tireless in her pursuit of materials and products.
We are now near the groundbreaking stage. Throughout this process I was struck again and again on how well Ryan and his team truly “listened” and responded to our needs.
Overall our experience with the entire team at Complete Design has been remarkable. Our communication and requests are handled in a timely and professional manner. We would highly recommend Complete Design!
