    • Determine the client’s goals and requirements of the project
    • Consider how the space will be used and how people will move through the space
    • Sketch preliminary design plans, including electrical layouts
    • Specify materials and furnishings, such as lighting, furniture, wall finishes, flooring, and plumbing fixtures
    • Prepare final plans, using computer applications
    • Create a timeline for the interior design project and estimate project costs
    • Have a thorough understanding of the building process including 2015 International Building Codes, 2015 Uniform Plumbing Code, 2015 National Electric Code and ANSI A117.1-09
    • Oversee installing the design elements
    • Visit after the project to ensure that the client is satisfied
    • Will work closely with other designers, architects, structural engineer and builders, to determine how interior spaces will function, look, and be furnished.
    • Ability to read blueprints and must be aware of building codes and inspection regulations.
    • Ability to generate some sketches or drawings that may be freehand,
    • Ability to develop drawings utilizing AutoCAD, Revit & spreadsheets
    • Produce designs, plans, and drawings for construction and installation.  Including floor plans, electrical layouts, and plans needed for building permits.
    • Generate construction documents, with schedules and attachments.
